Dear directors and volunteers,

Please see below a quick update for the past two days, and let us know should there be anything missing or any new constructive ideas.

1. Three more Deyong local volunteers have joined us.

We have now formed a strong local team with seven professionals to help us execute the relief plan and distribute the fund. Professor Yang will visit Deyang tomorrow to agree upon a working plan with other volunteers at Deyang.

We also added two more directors in the foundation board:

Dr Yang Liu will fly to Deyang next Monday to help with relief work. Dr Liu was born in Deyang, and he lives on the west coast of US.

2. Foundation management structure

More and more people have expressed strong interest to join our effort. We had included the volunteers in the foundation board to help us manage the fund raising and distribution process. We now feel that the large size of the management team may jeopardize the efficiency of decision making and execution.

From now on, new volunteers will not be included in the board. Those who want to be a board director need to show proven commitment and capacity.

3. We have approved a RMB 50K budget on a psychological counseling project. Prof Yang and Mr Zhang are working on the details. We also hope to fund a project to help senior high school students in the quake zone prepare for the national college admission exam.

4. Another educational foundation has pledged up to $100K to support us. We need to put the money in use as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

5. We are suggested to host a fund raising dinner at New Jersey sometime in June. Please let me know if you can help.
